Pay Scale: Rs.15600-39100 + AGP Rs.6000/-
Educational Requirements: (i) Consistently good academic record with a post-graduate degree in Ist or High IInd class (55% or above marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F) in Acharya or M.A. (Skt.) or an equivalent Oriental Degree from a recognized Examining Body in the concerned subject. (ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
Qualifications: (i) Research Degree in concerned subject or published research works of outstanding value, (ii) Knowledge of textual criticism and manuscriptology (iii) Ability of guiding research students (iv) Knowledge of Hindi and/or English (v) Knowledge of the principles of language teaching.

Application Form to the candidates belonging to SC/ST, Women and Person with Disability is free of cost on production of respective category certificate.
